I was attracted to USC Law after I heard about its new International Human Rights Clinic. I knew I wanted to attend a law school with a human rights emphasis, and USC fit the bill. I recently established a new chapter of the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project at USC Law. The group’s goal is to help provide legal representation to Iraqi refugees seeking resettlement. USC was very open to me doing this. I want to be a lawyer because I’m passionate about social change and want to be an advocate for people who don’t have a voice. That’s powerful.
